NHS
There are significant demands on the NHS to improve its structure and effectiveness. As a major area of public spending, it is under continuous scrutiny to realise the benefits of change.
Overhead efficiency
changethreesixty is currently working with a leading NHS Foundation Trust in London, reviewing the structure and effectiveness of their Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department.
The initial review is under way with interviews of key personnel to understand processes, roles and responsibilities.
Recommendations will be made to improve the effectiveness of the structure to ensure the ICT department can strengthen its interface with the rest of the business and enhance responsibility and task conclusion internally.
“We asked changethreesixty to provide an independent review of our ICT structure and to recommend appropriate change in line with the assignment brief. A number of 1-to-1 interviews with key personnel were undertaken, from which suggestions were made to rationalise the department. Some of these recommendations were implemented on an interim basis prior to full consultation with the staff affected, others are being discussed and may form part of the formal consultation prior to implementation. The consultancy provided a different perspective, which was helpful in identifying how the teams may operate and communicate more efficiently to deliver increased service provision.”
